So the Yelawolf concert last night was amazing. I knew it was going to be when my friend and I first drove up at the venue. When we walked out of the car I heard people talking about how dope Yelawolf was and Shady Records all together. There were people in groups rapping to Trunk Muzik and Trunk Muzik 0-60, and also Radioactive. After an hour of waiting in line, the line started moving, which meant the concert was about to start. (yaay) When my friend and I got to the front to turn our tickets in, they almost didn’t let us in because they have never heard of CrowdSurge before, which is where I bought our tickets. After 5 minutes of talking they were kind enough to let us in anyways.
Passing through the Rittz and Yelawolf T-shirts, my friend and I entered the venue, right when we walked in, it smelled like weed, cigarettes and beer. Once the venue got filled a Texas rapper came out and rapped his few songs, which got the crowd going a little bit. After he finished DJ Vajra came out and DJ’d for the us, it was absolutely amazing how he mixed the tracks. It was very entertaining. When he was done Trouble Andrew came out with a skeleton attached to his mic stand. As he began to sing his songs, the crowd was awed by how different and unique he was. Due to that shock, the crowd just stood there for a while and was kind of dead. When he got to the last song the crowd started getting into his music and started head bobbing.
While we were waiting for Rittz to come out people were lighting and smoking weed and/or getting beer. Some people in the crowd were freestyling to the instrumentals that were playing in the background and others were dancing and socializing. When Rittz came out, some people in the crowd was already drunk. Some were chanting “STRAANGE MUUSSICC” as Rittz began to perform. He was so full of energy and I could tell that he was happy at how the crowd was responding to him. As he played his first song, the crowd went crazy and people were already moshing and acting crazy. I was jumping up and down and singing along to his music having a good time as well as the others. As i was jumping up and down this guy came up to me and almost poured beer on me, I stopped him right away cause I just got my hair done the night before. (lol) After performing that song Rittz proceeded to tell us that he was feeling a little sick, after he told us the crowd roared and applauded him, he then told us that this was the best crowed that he performed at, during the Slumerican Tour. He then wanted to give us all a hi-five. he went around giving his fans hi-fives and apologized if he left some people hanging.. He said that he might fall of stage and he didn’t want it to get posted on YouTube. (the crowd laughed at that) after he gave us all hi-fives, he began to rap to his song Hi-Five which the crowd and I loved. After performing that he told a speech about how he would be here if it wasn’t for Yela. During his performance about 2 fights and a couple altercations broke out around me, it got pretty hectic to were the camera man rushed over to the front of the stage to take pictures of all the chaos that was happening down in the crowd. After everyone settled, the crowd got back to rapping and vibing to Rittz. People were still shouting “Strange Music” so Rittz went on to say “hold on, its coming! Yall getting the party started before it even starts!” with a smile on his face. Watching Rittz perform was the BEST. He is an awesome performer.
I’m gonna write about Yelawolf later on today.. I have a lot to say about it, but i cant write about it now because I have college work that i have to do. ;/
